The Blackthorne Inn is less than an hour from San Francisco and the Napa-Sonoma wine country at the magnificent Point Reyes National Seashore wilderness park.

Directions to the Blackthorne Inn, located at 266 Vallejo Avenue, in Inverness Park, California — from San Francisco via the Golden Gate

Follow Highway 101 North across the Golden Gate Bridge, to the Sir Francis Drake Blvd./ San Anselmo Exit.

Go west on Sir Francis Drake Blvd for 20 miles. You’ll pass through a number of East Marin suburbs and then you will pass through the redwoods of Samuel P. Taylor Park to the village of Olema.

Sir Francis Drake Blvd dead-ends into Route One/Shoreline Hwy. Turn right and proceed north approximately two miles.

Make a left turn just before the green bridge, heading towards "Inverness" (this is Sir Francis Drake Blvd., but the road sign is often missing). Continue a little over one mile, and look for a green city sign saying: Inverness Park.

Just around the next bend, you'll be taking a left onto Vallejo Avenue. Busy Bee Bakery and the Inverness Park Grocery/Perry's deli are located on the corner. The Blackthorne Inn is located at 266 Vallejo Avenue almost at the end of the road on the right hand side. We have a fairly steep driveway, with five parking spots available, including the steep paved area.

Traveling time is approximately one hour from the Golden Gate Bridge, depending on traffic.

From San Francisco via Lucas Valley Rd. (Scenic route)

From Oakland/Richmond Bridge

From Napa/Sonoma
